Gotta start fattening them up early for Christmas Dinner

The wild goose (or in this case geese) chase has ended. North Texas officials have found the two geese reportedly stolen from a park in Allen last weekend. The City of Allen Parks and Recreation Department posted on Facebook on Monday, April 15 that the birds were located and will be returned.

Meanwhile, in Tennessee.....

Fucking drama queen

A North Carolina defense attorney found herself on the wrong side of the law when she allegedly assaulted a woman and then faked a seizure.

Cops from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to an assault call shortly before noon Monday to the law office of 53-year-old Mary Leazer Rogers. When they arrived, police found a woman with a bloodied and scratched-up face.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signs bill to consider public safety as first consideration for bail

The process of setting bail is changing as two bills hit Governor Lee’s desk. One bill makes public safety the priority when setting bail.

The other eliminates affordability from the question when setting the bail amount.

On Friday, Governor Bill Lee signed House Bill 1642 into law. The law goes into effect on July 1.

Mandated gun insurance bill passes in Colorado

Insurance is one of the most profitable industries worldwide pulling in trillions of dollars annually in the U.S., yet Democrats have found a way to make it more profitable in Colorado.

Under a bill passed Saturday night when the Constitution was apparently sleeping, the state House decided gun owners must also buy insurance policies in case their weapon discharges accidently.

Report: Biden has Taken over 200 Actions Against U.S. Oil

President Joe Biden and his administration have taken over 200 actions against the U.S. oil and natural gas industry as energy prices have gone up, according to a new report.

“President Biden and Democrats have a plan for American energy: make it harder to produce and more expensive to purchase,” the Institute for Energy Research states in a new report. “Since Mr. Biden took office, his administration and its allies have taken over 200 actions deliberately designed to make it harder to produce energy here in America.”

The analysis highlights actions Biden took on his first day in office, listing them chronologically through March of this year. The first act was canceling the Keystone XL pipeline, issuing a moratorium on all oil and natural gas leasing activities in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and revoking Trump administration executive orders that decreased regulations in order to expand domestic production.

Chicago is the DNC’s Kind of Town?

I’m old enough to remember the 1968 DNC convention in Chicago, and smart enough to see that Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is no Richard J. Daley. So, as food prices rise with no end in sight, I advise you to stock up on popcorn before the August 19 convention in Chicago this year. As for the Democrats, I cannot imagine a scenario where there is anything but downsides for picking this site, this year.

In case you forgot, the 1968 convention began with ominous foreboding. True, the mayor had done everything he could to prettify the city, including screening the stockyards with redwood fences, but he knew the anti-Vietnam protestors would target the convention and mobilized the National Guard with orders to shoot if necessary.

What followed was worse than even the direst pessimist could have envisioned. Written in 2008, this author described the scene and aftermath:

Howie Carr: MassDOT Secretary Monica Tibbits-Nutt is quite nutty

Monica Tibbits-Nutt, Gov. Maura Healey’s crewcut Secretary of Transportation, is a real nutjob.

In case you’re not familiar with this latest $196,551-a-year local poster gal for leftist lunacy, this Nutt is nuttier than a fruitcake.

“We are going after all the people,” she said recently at a public gathering of her fellow tree huggers and climate cultists, “who should be giving us money to make our transportation better.”

To elaborate, she said she is “basically going after everyone who has money.”

Commentary: Veteran Teacher Explains What’s Wrong with Traditional Schooling

For 19 years, I was a master of time. Down to the minute, I controlled time for others and used it to meet my and others’ ends, irrespective of the desires of those in front of me. In short, I was a public-school teacher, and controlling time was my talent. Although I and other adults often talked about helping students reach their potential and grow as learners, what we really did each day was control their time and force upon them ideas and subjects in which most of them had little to no interest.

The most New York story you'll read all day

The man who fatally shot two officers in Salina Sunday night put together a "Frankenstein" weapon with illegal parts before the shooting the Onondaga County District Attorney confirmed.

DA Bill Fitzpatrick told the I-Team that Christopher Murphy put together the Springfield AR-15 in such a way that allowed him to avoid the typically required permit in New York State. He legally purchased a lower barrel receiver in 2019; at some point after that, he purchased a protruding pistol grip and a 40-round "banana" magazine, creating a rifle that is illegal in New York.

According to a firearms expert, a Springfield AR-15 is a semi-automatic rifle that shouldn't be in the possession of just anyone.

*****

A lower barrel receiver? A professor in criminal justice is automatically a firearms expert? Accurate firearms are a hazard? Honest citizens want a serialized firearm?
Put the Kool-Aid down, people.

Mother of the Year

A Maryland mother became so angry with her 8-year-old son for making a mess while he was eating his cereal that she decided to pour some rubbing alcohol on his hand and light it on fire.

The flames not only engulfed the boy’s hand in their Germantown apartment in May 2020, but it spread from his torso to head, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Kimberly Tyler, 31, and her wife Chareese Snorgrass-Tyler then threw the victim in the shower. When a family member criticized Tyler’s actions, she played the victim card and wondered aloud why people were worried about the boy and not her, saying “nobody gives a f— about me.”

Your Wednesday Morning Florida Report

A Florida man who was wearing sunglasses at night asked officers to let him crack open another cold one shortly before he was arrested.

The man had allegedly fired a gun during a dispute with a neighbor, police said.

Good Morning

What in the hell is wrong with people nowadays?

A missing dog found wrapped up in duct tape was rescued from a trash bin earlier this week, according to the Nebraska Humane Society.

Employees at the Omaha accounting firm Sweets & Associates reportedly heard an animal rustling around in the dumpster Sunday evening but assumed it was a raccoon.

Fuck you and your house
